MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

All Church Workday                                         Sat., Aug. 9     9am-2pm

There’s still plenty of work to be done at the Oxford facility so let’s make a day of it! Come dressed for work and bring some gloves. Wear a hat and sunscreen as there may be lots of outside work. No need  to sign up—just show up and we’ll put you to work. Bring a sack lunch and we’ll provide snacks and cold water. Let’s get this place spiffed up for our first Sunday back!

Rescue Mission                                                 Wed., Aug. 13 ~ 6:30pm

            Meet in the parking lot at the Oxford facility and we’ll head over to the Mission together to minister to the folks there. This is a great opportunity to worship with the folks at the Mission .

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

Back to the Future— Oxford facility                  Sun., Aug. 10th   10am                         

This Sunday is our first Sunday back at the Oxford facility. The Worship Service will begin at 10am. Come early for pastries before the service.

We will be having a Potluck Luncheon on the front lawn after the service. If your last name begins with the letters ‘A’ through ‘L’, please bring a LARGE main dish to share. If your last name begins with the letters ‘M’ through ‘Z’ please bring a LARGE salad to share. We will provide paper products, beverage, and dessert. You may want to bring lawn chairs and/or a picnic blanket.

Oxford Facility ‘Wish List’   We still ave a long list of equipment and supplies that need to be purchased. Stop by the Information Table and pick up a list. If everyone gives a little we can meet all these needs.

We have registered at Target and you can access that ‘wish list’ by going to www.Target.com  or into any Target store.

Simply follow these directions:

--Select “Target Lists”

--Select “Find a List”

--Enter (as first name) “ Stockton ”

--Enter (as last name) “Covenant”

This will produce a ‘wish list’ for you to use as you shop. If you have any questions give Sandy a call (464-5160).

If you make a purchase at Target please ask for a ‘gift receipt’ as Target has a strict return policy and there is always a chance that a duplicate item will be purchased.

Men’s Softball Game                                                   Fri., Aug. 8 ~  8pm

            Come out to Oak Park and support our Men’s Softball team. This is a great relaxing (well, for some of us) way to spend a Friday night. Make room in your schedules to meet folks for dinner before the         game or grab a bite of dessert after the game. See you at the ball         diamond!

Women’s Ministry Meeting                                          Mon., Aug. 11  ~  7pm

            If you’ve got ideas about Women’s Ministry we want to hear them. Please join us for this planning meeting as we gear up for fall.
